St Nicholas Pathways provides you with an innovative and industry-supported educational pathway which leads into a career supporting the developmental needs of young children and helping them reach their full potential.
As a School Based Trainee program, the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at St Nicholas Pathways allows students to attain their Certificate while completing the HSC to increase their future career opportunities.
This program allows students to work part-time in paid employment and complete their minimum 100 days of on-the-job training in a St Nicholas Early Education centre.
Where to from here
Students will complete workshop content and receive general support associated with their Certificate throughout their traineeship at the St Nicholas Early Education Pathways training facility, complete with a simulated children’s service environment, in Maitland.
For their on-the-job training, students will be contracted to a St Nicholas Early Education service to complete their hours. St Nicholas Early Education currently has centers operating in Cardiff, Chisholm, Lochinvar, Newcastle West, Raymond Terrace and Singleton, with plans for expansion into suburbs including Gillieston Heights, Medowie and Muswellbrook.
As well as opening up the opportunity for employment in the early education and care industry, the completion of the Certificate III through St Nicholas Pathways allows for further study and career advancement through a Diploma in Early Education and Care (CHC50113), a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or Primary or Bachelor in early Education Childhood and Care 20510 through TAFENSW.
